Opus Futura Secures 70 Million ISK in Funding
The startup company Opus Futura ehf. has completed its first funding round, raising 70 million ISK. The financing comes from experienced investors, including F. Bergsson ehf., owned by Frosti Bergsson, and Omega VC, an investment firm founded by Andri Sveinsson and Birgir Már Ragnarsson.
The funding will support the development of Opus Futura’s solution, as well as its sales and marketing efforts. Alongside the investment, the company is expanding its team. Opus Futura currently employs four people and plans to hire three more in the coming weeks.
“The involvement of these strong investors gives us a significant boost and enables us to accelerate our progress. We recently launched the first version of our solution and have seen considerable interest from both individuals and companies, as it is the only solution of its kind in Iceland and beyond. Expectations for workplaces have changed dramatically, and fewer people are willing to endure a lengthy and opaque hiring process. This makes it difficult for companies to find the right people, making the hiring process more cumbersome and increasingly costly. Opus Futura ensures complete anonymity for individuals, eliminates the need for job applications, and delivers only the most suitable candidates to companies, saving significant time and expense in the process,” says Helga Jóhanna Oddsdóttir, founder and CEO of Opus Futura.
About Opus Futura
Opus Futura is an Icelandic company that has developed a solution for automatically matching individuals with jobs in a much more detailed way than before while ensuring the anonymity of those who join the platform. Several prominent companies have already started using the solution, and thousands of individuals have registered. The platform is continuously evolving, with new services being added. This ongoing development strengthens our support for companies’ hiring processes and offers individuals effortless access to opportunities that suit them. Our goal is to significantly improve the quality of hires, shorten hiring times, greatly reduce associated costs, and provide managers and candidates with insights into the likelihood of a successful employment relationship. By doing so, we contribute to minimizing bias, reducing the waste associated with missed opportunities, lowering employee turnover, and enhancing people’s quality of life, as those satisfied in their jobs are more likely to experience greater overall life satisfaction.
